Olympic Idol : James Cleveland "Jesse" Owens (1913-1980)

Jesse Owens was an American track and field athlete. He participated in the 1936 Summer Olympics in Berlin, Germany, where he achieved international fame by winning four gold medals: one each in the 100 metres, the 200 metres, the long jump, and as part of the 4x100 meter relay team

In 1936, Owens arrived in Berlin to compete for the United States in the Summer Olympics. Adolf Hitler was using the games to show the world a resurgent Nazi Germany. He and other government officials had high hopes German athletes would dominate the games with victories (the German athletes achieved a top of the table medal haul).
Just before the competitions Owens was visited in the Olympic village by Adi Dassler, the founder of Adidas. He persuaded Owens to use Adidas shoes and it was the first sponsorship for a male African-American athlete.

The long jump victory is documented, along with many other 1936 events, in the 1938 film Olympia by Leni Riefenstahl.

On the first day, Hitler shook hands only with the German victors and then left the stadium. Olympic committee officials then insisted Hitler greet each and every medalist or none at all. Hitler opted for the latter and skipped all further medal presentations. On reports that Hitler had deliberately avoided acknowledging his victories, and had refused to shake his hand, Owens recounted.

PE REFLECTION:I think that the pe lessons were ok but could i been better if there was more space to play in and it was have been boring at times.The timing for pe should be later to aviod the hot sun .Overrall it is much better then last year. The teacher is encouraging in every activities that he planned each week. The games that we played was interesting but can be improved by adding more different unique games that the school has not have for a long time. PE has learned me how to co-operate with one another and we learned about teamwork and integrity.

Sorry for the sudden hiatus. So its the third of Syawal today and Ramadan has just passed us again. I miss when I always stay at class, endure thirst and hunger , less tough trainings and using the breakfasting/sahur excuse to escape something. Well, Im still excited for Raya! (cheers) But, not so fast! Exams are around the corner! (groans). I predict that I will be wealthy by the end of the year. Hehe. Let's see :
Work + fasting savings + raya collection + work = $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$

I am currently hooked up to Bullet For My Valentine right now. They have nice guitar solos and drums I must say. I reccomend to this band to all metal lovers who like less screaming and more guitar solos.

Life's has been hectic lately. Especially DNT, need to redo the damn acrylic piece of crap. Was planning to give up on my artefact and concentrate on my Presentation Board. Despite this promise, I still jump on to my comfy bed and sleep like a log until break fast. I cant wait for Sunday's break fasting with friends/class mates.
And also September Holiday which was 1 week and then straight away Common test and then chiong to mug for EOYs. Can't believe Sec 3 is this chaotic .

Watched Up on Monday. This film is 51% touching and 49% comedy. I have to say, though it quite lack humour but there's a certain romance inside it. I mean, how the guy deals with his wife's death. He wants his wife wishes come true despite the obstacles he face meeting 'sidekicks' along the way. Love, family and wishes. Aw.

Its the fifth day of Ramadan. Alhamdullilah, so far so good. After break fast, went to Terawih with Ahmas, Bear , Amirul , Shahdan , Hafiz and Johan at Ghufran. Then today, lost my slippers. I keep thinking to myself why people wanted to steal my five bucks slippers -.-" Cheap or expensive, still people want to steal ah? Gah. There's PE tomorrow and its Ramadan, Be strong. I do not want history to repeat itself like last year when I break fast right after PE. Let's hope Mr Chew goes soft tomorrow.

Gift carnival was a BLAST!. I climbed for 3.5 times the reason I gave up halfway at the wall as my upper arm strength is wearing out. After the event, walked to Tampines Interchange and had lunch at LJS. Bus 65 bought me to Shawn's crib from Tampines Interchange. Then, Bus 66 bought me home.

I twisted my ankle just now. It got swollen like the size of an egg yolk. No kidding. I will be going to the clinic to get my ankle checked. Hopefully, the doctor will award me a 3 day MC. School is killing me, but despite the fact, I do not want to miss anything especially Maths except DNT.

Skin changed.

Yesterday, I had the first detention in my entire life. On the bright side, I got to finish all my homework before being released. Luckily got Said in the detention who can entertain me during our "doing" time.

Today, is like any normal,typical day. AMaths test returned, gotten 60%. Recess-ed then biology. Fun as always, with James sitting beside me and entertaining me with his inside jokes and bullying Shawn. "Quick! The teacher is getting kinky!" is his favourite quotes. ^^

Tomorrow, will be Gift Carnival where this year , we break the record to climb our own Everest at Springfield Sec then going to Shawn's crib to chill thereafter.

Typically, this week is extra large busy but with an upsize of fun but I am prepared to stay back next week for DNT. Go to hell lah.

I cant put pictures or quotes in my posts. Anyone finding it a problem? If this problem persists, im moving on to wordpress.

So, friday was the school's NDP. Observed the march pass, and did reflections and what nots. Then proceed to the hall for the Dont forget the lyrics Singapore NDP songs. Eliminated at the 2nd last round. Nevermind, we did our best. <3

But,in my opinion, i deemed the last round between the 4E5 and 3E5 unfair because the participants have to chase the host to get the microphone. Who are the participants? Hamdy and (this girl i forgot her name. sorry!) Who won? (Hint: Hamdy is fast. Take a wild guess)

After dismissals, slacked at Najib's crib then proceed to street soccer. 15 minutes later, I hit my dome onto the steel crossbar and I gotten a headache right on the spot. Thanks to my stuborness, i carried on playing for 3 hours. The outcome? Body and leg muscle aches. I jumped onto my comfy bed and slept from 5pm - 10pm. Woke up, showered, panadoled and continued sleeping from 10.15pm to 11am the next day. Maybe I should take it easy.

Today had the first elective module. I got hairstyling but I remembered that I chose motorcycle as first choice but they rejected. Sushi -.-

Was quite boring at first but starting to get fun when I started to style a dummy's hair because it look as if it got cancer when I started. So yeah, 6 more lessons so I will be busy and not updating that much.

23 episodes. 6 weeks . 3 times/week. Damn, time flies so fast. Cant believe prison break is over D: Maybe I watch The Mentalist on Tuesday @ 10pm. Looks convincing.

I visited ITE College East a couple of weeks ago. And now then I post. Went there for a hands-on experience on the courses they offer. I like how they demonstrate different courses and let us try them and gives us sufficient time to the program. I was amazed and proud of my class which bonded during the PE lesson on low elements.
Despite the 30 courses they have to offer, nothing attracts me.

Wednesday was class phototaking. Forgot to smile ._. The next day, CCA. This time, no folding arms and prepare to see a bright glare in the picture (inside joke) :D
Okay, i suddenly miss Sepak Takraw. I hope there's training on Tuesday.

Im just wrapping up of what just happened during this few weeks. Yeah, my life is damn boring and my stories can put coffee to sleep.

Ok, Im gonna watch Liverpool trashing Singapore in the soccer match. (Damn it, did i just supported Liverpool?)

I have been hooked up to Prison Break and not missing not even one episode. The storyline is quite easy to follow and it is VERY good plotted. What happened to Scofield's tats?

School has been okay to me I guess. I watched 2 movies in one week and now i am broke. But nevermind, my pay is in already. ^^

I watched Transformers 2 and Ice Age 3. Transformers ROTF was the biggest dissapointment in robotic history and which I conclude that Transformers 1 is better. I watched with the chinese guys in my class with the ones I rarely talk to and found out they were quite nice and sociable after 3 years as a class ._.

Ice age was hilarious and is well-plotted movie. But I watched it in 3D which I find it quite pointless to a cartoon movie than action movies which you find it thrilling.

I am now going to prepare for work. (Yes, I continued)

I have beeen working with McDonalds during the holidays. Went well, managers are friendly , the crew was nice , felxible time shifts and most important of all, free meals (be jealous)

I was tired and exhausted this days because i mostly fry fries , serving people and almost died during rush hour/lunch time. I am not continuing after the holidays.

School is getting boring-er and hot-ter this days.

Yesterday, i went for the MFB team-building program. My group consists of other schools so we were very blur when we first time met. It was tiring and exhausting due to the activities we done like captain's ball, armor for an egg and many other activities. Let's pray hard I get to the trip well, that is, if there is going to be a trip

Speaking about trips, Shahdan says that the Surabaya trip is cancelled which I thought he was joking. Although im not involve in this, I still symphatize the ones participating this. Afiq Ezzudin already packed his stuffs already. Haha, poor thing.

Overall, I'm quite disappointed with my results especially when I did not expect the unexpected. Grrr.

And yeah, grats to Kris Allen for winning AI8. In the next few years , he will be dead and gone like all the other AI winners.

Today I slacked at Shawn's crib and played his Xbox 360. Out of the blue, the CDC officer called. I was shortlisted in the Shanghai trip but it will postponed to September or December :D. Im so going baby!

Tomorrow I will get back ALL my results and I meant both exams and American Idol *sigh*. I am starting to get butterflies in stomach. :(

Pagi itu pagi minggu. Cuaca cukup sejuk sehingga mencapai takat suhu beku. Sebab itu saya tidak mandi pagi sebab air kolah jadi air batu dan air paip tidak mahu keluar sebab beku di dalam batang paip. Pagi itu saya bersarapan dengan keluarga di dalam unggun api kerana tidak tahan sejuk. Selepas itu emak saya mengajak saya menemaninya ke pasar. Tetapi saya tidak mahu.

Selepas emak menikam perut saya berkali-kali dengan garfu barulah saya bersetuju untuk mengikutnya. Kami berjalan sejauh 120 kilometer kerana pasar itu letaknya 128 kilometer dari rumah. Lagi 8 kilometer nak sampai pasar saya ternampak sebuah lori kontena meluru dengan laju dari arah belakang.

Dia melanggar emak saya. Emak saya tercampak ke dalam gaung. Dia menjerit “Adoi!”. Lepas itu emak saya naik semula dan mengejar lori tersebut. Saya pun turut berlari di belakang emak saya kerana takut emak saya melanggar lori itu pula. Pemandu lori itu nampak kami mengejarnya. Dia pun memecut lebih laju iaitu sama dengan kelajuan cahaya. Kami pula terpaksa mengejar dengan lebih laju iaitu sama dengan dua kali ganda kelajuan cahaya. Emak saya dapat menerajang tayar depan lori itu. Lori itu terbabas dan melanggar pembahagi jalan lalu bertembung dengan sebuah feri. Feri itu terbelah dua.

Penumpang feri itu yang seramai 100 orang semuanya mati. Pemandu feri itu sangat marah. Dia pun bertukar menjadi Ultraman dan memfire pemandu lori. Pemandu lori menekan butang khas di dalam lori dia..lori itu bertukar menjadi robot Transformer. Mereka bergaduh di udara. Emak saya tidak puas hati. Dia pun terus menyewa sebuah helikopter di Genting
Highlandsdan terus ke tempat kemalangan. Dia melanggar pemandu feri yang telah bertukar menjadi Ultraman itu.

Pemandu feri itu terkejut dan terus bertukar menjadi pemandu feri semula lalu terhempas ke jalanraya. Pemandu feri itu pecah. Pemandu lori sangat takut melihat kejadian itu. Dia meminta maaf dari emak saya. Dia menghulurkan tangan ingin bersalam. Tetapi emak saya masih marah. Dia menyendengkan helikopternya dan mengerat tangan pemandu lori itu dengan kipas helikopter. Pemandu lori itu menjerit “Adoi..!” dan jatuh ke bumi. Emak say menghantar helikopter itu ke Genting Highlands. Bila dia balik ke tempat kejadian, dia terus memukul pemandu lori itu dengan beg tangannya sambil memarahi pemandu lori itu di dalam bahasa Inggeris.

Pemandu lori itu tidak dapat menjawab sebab emak saya cakap orang putih. Lalu pemandu lori itu mati. Tidak lama kemudian kereta polis pun sampai. Dia membuat lapuran ke ibu pejabatnya tentang kemalangan ngeri itu. Semua anggota polis di pejabat polis itu terperanjat lalu mati. Orang ramai mengerumuni tempat kejadian kerana ingin mengetahui apa yang telah terjadi. Polis yang bertugas cubamenyuraikan orang ramai lalu dia menjerit menggunakan pembesar suara. Orang ramai terperanjat dan semuanya mati.

Selepas itu emak saya mengajak saya ke pasar untuk mengelak lebih ramai lagi yang akan mati. Di pasar, emak saya menceritakan kejadian itu kepada penjual daging. Penjual daging dan peniaga-peniaga berhampiran yang mendengar cerita itu semuanya terkejut dan mati. Saya dan emak saya terus berlari balik ke rumah. Kerana terlalu penat sebaik saja sampai di rumah kami pun mati. Itulah kemalangan yang paling ngeri yang pernah saya lihat sebelum saya mati.

Im left with DNT paper on monday. To art students, exams are over for them.
During june holidays, i have better things to do than staring at the wall and banging my head on it. I got a part-time job at McD. Im not sure if im behind the counter or kitchen but i have to go to the interview (which is something worse than malay orals). I think it will be educational and in the meantime, the cash will keep rolling in my back account. Ka-ching ah.

On thursday, i will be receiving ALL my results and paper back. *Hyperventilates*

This Friday is such a killer. It will be biology + a maths clashing together in one day. I don't mind extending the exam day for another subject but this is fucking ridiculous. If we fail, I think we have a good excuse for it. I think almost all my class mates will get a high chance of dropping AM. I dont remember why I chose to advance in mathematics in the first place. Well, i realize that AM is copeable but the level of difficulty is hard. I found that this is the reason (mostly) why people could not cope for A maths not because of too many subjects or stress.

So far my previous papers was copable. I expect a borderline on e-maths, a 50-60 on english and a 60-70 for chemistry. Tomorrow I will be sitting for my history elective paper. Im not expecting much for this paper.

I'm currently hopeless. ._.

Seeing many people going for the Surabaya trip i felt damn regret for not going.
Forget about going to Shanghai, no chance. Why? I left the 'examplary conduct' section blank in the application form . WIN.

Anyway, mid Year is approaching. I shall be going on a hiatus next week. But i will log on once in a while to check on my soon-to-be-dead tagboard. Eh, tag leh!

Saturday, was carnival day. It was bored-with-a-little-twist-of-fun-here-and-there. Walked around the stalls. Hang out with Hazli and they all. After carnival, rushed to street soccer near Ghufran. That's how my Saturday goes.

Forget about the last post.
This morning was the Temasek Regatta Dragonboat tournament. Boys fall in 4th. Girls was 1st and 3rd(?) on the 1st and 2nd rounds respectively. Congrats! :D After that sat with Ahmas,Amirul,Shahdan and Nas to share jokes. ^^ After prayers, i felt really dizzy went home but couldnt sleep. Force myself to tuition. There was this question in biology.

"What is the function of the chloroplast?"

My answer: It contains chlorophyll that is used to make money.

I was :O did i wrote that? My tutor understand i have a headache and let me off early. ^^

Carnival day is tomorrow. I have absolutely no idea what my class is doing.

Just got progress report.All passed except for A maths but still, im not satisfied but heck care, its just a progress report.

Average = 51% <--lol wtf?

On a lighter note, im going on city walk on tuesday! Sadly, all the NCC boys will be away for some course. Sucks much? ._.

Tuesday - IT Lesson (screw this. Thank god, its the last.) + Takraw.
Wednesday - Dragonboat. I pray hard it wont rain.
Thursday - Takraw / CIP @ All saints home
Friday - Progress report! :0 + Tuition.
Saturday - Tution 5.30 - 7.30
Sunday - Tuition + Religous class (!)

March holidays will pay off. (I hope)

Then, after march hols, will be common test D: Now im looking forward to June hols.
Mr Fathul opened the Surabaya twinning program to NA students. But I dont think i can go bcos your Surabayan partner will sleep in your house for 3 days 2 nights. If not bcos of this, I'll definitely go. I guess June hols will be much of rotting , decomposing and denaturing at home.

Today is very tiring but nevertheless, fun. Walked , jogged and sprint near the end of the mass run with fadzli. After mass run, biked with hazli to street soccer. Played until sweating bullets my shoe some more the heels detached. -.-" Got home at 3+ sleep , bath then tuition from 5 - 9. And now here I am , overcame with fatigue and boredom.

Didnt expect sec 3 camp to be fun. but my class didnt really bonded like we alrdy know each other but still thrs few ppl who refuse to co-operate. performance night was tha' bomb. from jumpstylers to gay performance LOL. rockclimbing was okay, managed to complete 2 (straight ones) and attempted the half slanted wall but failed. then went to school back but the bus driver is so stupid that he dosnt know whr madrasah aljuined is and then lost on our way back to school. -.- at 5.30pm we went home.

Had CCA display day just now. Bored and only a few signed up for takraw and we have chosen our jersey its gonna be red and black which is nicer than last years because we gonna have our name on the front.I cant decide to put 'hakim' or 'n hakim' its $15for chosen school team players but $30 for non-chosen.I dont think im gonna get chosen :)

I wanted a eastpak bag which i tink i saw one at parkway parade at iSetan. not sure about the price but im gonna save it for one its going to my wishing well :) Tomorrow is saturday, im gonna change my skin and gonna be boring cos some peeps are out for sec 1 camp. speaking of camp, im gonna go on a camp + rock climbing next week! and maybe volunteer for sec 2 camp this year.

My computer is giving me a shitty-ass attitude . I got to post about yesterday today.

Well 1st day school is normal ? even on 1st day. ya know, principal giving boring speech yada yada... Met syafiqin and others at canteen and bragging about long pants etc. All grown up. -.-" Time flies so fast . Another year has passed. Another one to face.

So i got into 3N1 which means im taking A maths and i shall not describe about the book. My form teacher is Ms marini and my class is on the 4th floor sia. on the bright side, it's nearer to the canteen and office. I sat by the window cos when Im stressed or tired, i just look at the scenery outside. ^^. My classmates were all much the same but some went different ways. class sbelah lak tu. ^^. Thats much about school.

Finally i get to post something. Well, i cant get the pictures of my sister's engagement and niece's birthday cos the memory card on my camera cant read it or smth. Sway. Monday was suppose to watch twilight with chuppyqin but cancelled cos we wanted to cut our hair. My fringe is irritating my eyes.

today
played takraw with wall e , chuppyqin and his cousin fahim. Played for awhile then went off to afghan to eat. Went back to chuppyqin's place to take his cousin's yearbook. He flips through the book and says ' eh prompan tu jambu ah' , 'eh pompuan tu lawa uh'. Then he saw this guy with moustache like a shape of a 'n'.I haha.

Its currently 9:11pm now. 2 hours and 49 minutes to 2009. oh well, time flys so fast. It seems like yesterday i just entered TPSS. Then not much later , i take o's and then graduate. Urgh, graduate. :(
